The Queensland Veteran Golf Union consists of twenty-one Districts and as a member of the Albert and Logan District you would be welcome to play at any one of the Districts on presentation of your Membership card which you obtain when you pay your yearly Veteran's fee.

The Albert and Logan Veterans have an election of officers in the latter part of the year and every effort should be made to attend this meeting. From this committee two delegates are elected to represent the District at the Queensland Veterans Golf Union

VETERANS INFORMATION
1. Program of events- Refer to the fixture book available (free) at the Pro shop or Office. Trophy events are listed on page 25.
2.Eligibility
Men- 55yrs and over.
Ladies-50yrs and over.
Must be a financial member of Carbrook Golf Club.
3. Fees - Annual- $7.00 Ladies- $5.00.
The above fees are payable to the Veteran's Treasurer on the first day of joining. Thereafter by the 31St October each year.
4. Membership Card - The Albert and Logan District Golf (A&LDG) Card enables you to play on Veteran's days at other district clubs listed on page 26. BONUS: The card entitles you to play at any Veterans Day at all clubs throughout Australia whilst travelling. You should also carry your Golf Link card.
5. Club Shirts - Veterans Shirts can be ordered through the Treasurer. The first shirt, (includes badge and pocket) can be purchased at a cost of $15.00. Extra shirts cost $30.00. Shirts are available with long, short or for ladies, no sleeves. Names can be embroided on the shirts at a cost of $5.00. Prices may fluctuate.
6. Player Bookings - Can be made a fortnight ahead and is now available over the internet (www.carbrookgolfclub.com.au) or on the computers at the club house or pro shop. PLEASE cancel your booking either by phone, over the internet or on the club computers if you are unable to play. By doing this you will enable a player from the standby list to play.
7. Presentations - We encourage members and visitors to stay for the "Presentation" as this is the opportunity to hear various announcements relating to forthcoming events, Rules explanations, Course changes and District news etc.
8. Competition Results - If you are unable to stay for the presentation the results appear in the following Friday's Courier, Mail when space permits, or the CM Web Page/ Sports Results. They are also available on the internet at the Club's Web Site.
Balls, vouchers and trophies are made available the following week near the coffee table.
Note: Balls are kept for you for one month, if unclaimed, they are returned to stock.
9. Interclub competition - Commences April each year. This is an opportunity for you to play at the other clubs within the district and if you are in form, a chance to represent your club. Following the interclub, the District Championships in all grades are held. You must nominate for the above. All information for these games is held by the Vet's Captain.
10. Veterans' Notice Board - This is on the wall to the left of the Television Sets. Check here for entry forms for games outside the district, inside the district and any relevant information.
11. Score Cards - All players are expected to enter their score into the computer before handing in their card to the officials or placing same in the Veterans' score card box.
The low marker of the group is responsible for entering and handing in of the cards.
We encourage members to read etiquette of the game in the fixture book- page 11 & 12.
Carbrook is known widely as the Friendly Club. We endeavour to maintain this reputation.
